Phanom Yen

A charming alpine semi-hard cheese with sweet, nutty notes.

Patiently aged on ashwood shelves to develop a rich, nutty character and exceptional depth of flavou

Overview

Inspired by the mountain cheeses of the European Alps, Phanom Yen is a washed-curd semi-hard cheese crafted from fresh Thai milk. Young wheels are smooth, creamy and delicately fruity, while extended maturation develops a firmer texture with deeper, sharper and more complex flavours. Simple, versatile and naturally satisfying, it's a cheese that's equally enjoyable on its own or in the kitchen.

The Story

Phanom Yen (พนมเย็น), meaning "Cold Hill", celebrates the heritage of traditional mountain cheesemaking. Its name reflects the cool highlands where alpine cheeses have been crafted for generations, while honouring our mission of creating authentic artisan cheeses with a uniquely Thai identity.
